As an Air Freight Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in managing and coordinating air freight operations. You will ensure the seamless movement of goods, maintain customer satisfaction, and comply with all regulatory requirements while achieving operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate air freight shipments, including bookings, tracking, and delivery.
- Ensure timely and efficient handling of import/export documentation and customs clearance.
- Liaise with airlines, freight forwarders, and clients to monitor shipments and resolve issues.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, updates, and complaints professionally.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
- Prepare and process all necessary documentation, including airway bills, invoices, and export declarations.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs procedures, and company policies.
- Negotiate rates with airlines and service providers to achieve cost-effective solutions.
- Prepare quotations and manage invoicing for customers
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in air freight, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Strong knowledge of customs procedures and international trade regulations.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficient in logistics software and tools (e.g., Cargowise, SAP, or similar).
