Air Ocean Freight Forwarder

A leading Freight Forwarder based in Dublin 11 now require an experienced Air Ocean Freight Forwarder for a permanent contract. Working as part of a busy team you will work closely with your colleagues and manager to deliver an excellent service experience to all clients.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Use of Company In-House systems to complete documentation and operational processes.
• Organise operational workflow to meet customer timeframes.
• Communicate effectively with the customer to obtain relevant information and ensure their needs are met.
• Ensure legislative compliance in all areas.
• Maintain Customer profiles/SOP’s
• Resolve customer issues and escalate where support is needed. 
• Liaise with sub-contractors to arrange the carriage of goods.
• Raise payable invoices to customers and overseas agents in accordance with agreed rates and tariffs, whilst monitoring financial Profit & Loss levels on own shipments.
• Complete all administrative functions in accordance with company policy and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Good knowledge and experience in the Ocean / Air Freight Market.
• Ability to negotiate with shipping lines, local suppliers and overseas offices
• Excellent problem-solving , planning and organizational skills
• Strong Communication / telephone skills
• Strong administrative and customer service skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Commercial awareness
