A leading transport association is now hiring an Apprenticeship Coordinator. If you have some freight or logistics industry experience, are an organised, outgoing individual with strong presentation skills, a confident communicator and have your own transport, then this could be the role for you!
You will work closely with the Apprenticeship Project Manager and report on progress and development of interest in the apprenticeship programme. You will lead employer and apprentice interest in the programmes, provide structured reports to the Apprenticeship Project Manager on prospect for registrations to the programme and work to the targets as laid down by the 2-year plan
Key Responsibilities:
- Increase the number of employers registered in the Apprenticeship Programmes.
- Increase the number of apprentices in the haulage, freight distribution & logistics sectors interested in Apprenticeships
- Report on development and progress to the Apprenticeship Project Manager and the steering group (CSG)
- Provide administrative support for both Apprenticeship programmes
- Develop and deliver presentations and promotional materials to be showcased at events attended by employers in the sector, teachers, schools and students.
- Meet existing members and promote the benefits of the apprenticeships.
Essential Skills & Attributes:
- At least 2 years’ experience in the freight distribution and logistics sector
- Ability to engage with employers and students in the promotion of the apprenticeship programmes
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Minimum of Level 6 qualification in Business, Supply Chain & Logistics disciplines
- Strong presentation skills with good knowledge of PowerPoint and Microsoft 365
- Fluency in writing and speaking English
- Ability to work and engage with stakeholders
- Ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships with decision makers and influencers with all transport stakeholders.
- The role holder should have a flexible attitude with regard to their working hours. It is primarily an office-based position with some flexibility for working from home.
- You must have a full licence and your own transport as some travel and overnight stays will be required occasionally.
