One of Ireland’s leading International logistics providers are looking for a Business Development Executive in Southwest Ireland. Operating from either the Limerick or Cork offices, you will generate new business and manage existing accounts (70:30). If you are experienced in business development and business retention in the transport and freight forwarding industry, or similar industries, then this is your new opportunity! 

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Proactively identify, pursue, and maintain a constant pipeline of potential customers.
  • Cold-calling potential businesses to achieve maximum sales opportunities.
  • Producing quotations for prospects and existing clients
  • Achieve set Monthly and Annual sales targets (approx €500k in 1st year)
  • Accurately record meeting activities within the CRM system
  • Establish relationships with key customers with decision-making authority.
  • Align with local customer service and operational teams to help them with customer requirements.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the customer’s requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience in Sales and Business Development preferably within the transport, distribution and freight forwarding industry.
  • Proven sales track record anf a record of achieving targets.
  • Experience managing and developing key customers.
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent time management and planning skills.
  • Strong commercial aptitude and experience.
  • Ability to understand and articulate customer issues and requirements and to work internally across departments to build solutions.
  • Full driving Licence

Terms: 
Fulltime, permanent

Package: 
Negotiable Salary + Car allowance + Pension
