Our client, a global logistics company, is looking for an experienced Distribution Manager to lead freight operations and support the growth of their local team. The ideal candidate will have strong commercial awareness, team leadership experience, and a solid understanding of international supply chains.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily freight operations and support with quotations, pricing checks, and cost control.
- Monitor profit & loss performance and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Lead team meetings, manage staff performance, and support career development.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and guide smooth onboarding of new clients.
- Work closely with compliance and implement process improvements to enhance service and efficiency.
- Support sales efforts with market insights and help drive revenue in line with business targets.
Requirements:
- 4+ years’ experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Proven team leadership and experience managing financial targets.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable with systems, process improvement, and change management.
- Fluent in English, with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
