Role: Freight Forwarder (Control Tower)

Terms: Full-time, permanent position with a competitive compensation package included. Monday to Friday, 11 PM to 7 AM (Night Shift), with remote working. Onsite training is required, with 2 days per month working on-site

We are seeking a highly motivated Control Tower Freight Forwarder to join our team on the night shift. This role is crucial to ensuring the smooth operation of freight forwarding activities during off-hours, providing oversight, and managing logistics operations efficiently. The ideal candidate will be self-sufficient, able to work independently and exhibit exceptional attention to detail in all tasks.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the transportation and delivery of freight, ensuring timely and accurate handling of shipments.
- Coordinate with shipping partners, suppliers, and customers to monitor and track the flow of goods in real-time.
- Problem Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve issues related to shipment delays, discrepancies, and route adjustments.
- Ensure all required documentation (e.g., bills of lading, customs paperwork) is complete and accurate.
- Provide updates to clients and internal teams, ensuring seamless communication regarding shipments.
- Maintain adherence to regulatory requirements and safety standards.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and contribute to operational improvements.
Key Requirements
- Previous experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain management is required.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision and take initiative to manage tasks efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy in documentation and shipment tracking.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective coordination and reporting.
- Ability to think critically and resolve issues in real-time, ensuring smooth operations.
- Ability to work night shifts consistently.
- Proficient in using freight management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Qualifications Needed
- A relevant degree or certification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Freight Forwarding (e.g., CILT, IATA, or similar).
- A certification in Customs Clearance or Dangerous Goods Handling is preferred but not mandatory
