Role: Freight Operations Assistant

A well-established Ocean Freight Forwarding company in Dublin City Center, now seek to hire a Freight Operations Assistant. The company is well recognised as a specialist within their field and has excellent, longstanding relationships with its carrier partners with whom it ships approx 8,000 TEU per annum. This role is in-house working with a Team processing documentation and managing Import & Export shipments whether FCL / LCL / Air freight & Project cargo.
Key Responsibilities;
- Receive and process Import / Export shipments through the coordination of the Management
- Process booking confirmations within a timely fashion and in the format & procedures of the Company.
- Update CRM reporting system on a daily basis.
- Arrange Transport for collections/deliveries & organise Customs Clearance through our brokers.
- Provide support and assistance to Sales Dept. in relation to client requirements
- Respond to all client queries promptly & efficiently
- Send weekly tracker reports to clients
- Liaise with both Sales & Management teams on a weekly basis in relation to client feedback
- Update & Post vendor's invoices in the SAGE accounting system.
- To manage and develop relationships with Overseas Agents & Contacts
- Maintain close contact with all clients through phone & email efficiently
- Have the ability to liaise with clients on pending / upcoming loads and sailing requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum two years experience within a busy local forwarder completing similar duties
- Fluent English and an excellent phone manner are essential
- Strong time management skills & ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work as part of a Team
- Attention to details and accuracy essential
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office with knowledge of the Azyra FMS and Sage accounting systems preferable
- Organizational skills and ability to keep clients updated on all services provided by the company.
- Fluent in English with full work permits (Stamp 2 Student and Stamp 1G Graduate visa holders will not be considered).
