Due to continued success a long-established Irish-owned Freight Forwarder, specializing in European road and sea freight, now seeks to hire a Junior Operations Customer Support Clerk.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Processing telephone, e-mail, and website enquiries from customers’ orders, booking collections, and deliveries.
- Liaise with customers to inform them of progress and keep customers updated on their shipments.
- Internal operations support all the business functions.
- Dealing with customer operations from booking to delivery.
Requirements & Experience
- Experience within freight forwarding operations, customer service, and office admin, is advantageous but not essential as full training will be given.
- Fluent in English written and spoken.
- A second European language would be beneficial.
- Ability to use your initiative and make informed decisions,
- Excellent communicator with the ability to work as part of a team, able to provide helpful assistance to our customers.
- Pleasant and professional telephone manner. Previous customer service experience may be advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc.)
- A desire to learn about our services, systems and customers.
- Excellent levels of commitment and motivation.
Terms
Full time, Permanent, Office based, Monday to Friday, normal office hours.
Package
Salary Negotiable.
