A leading freight company based in Dublin 11 now require a Junior Ocean Clerk ideally with some import Customs Clearance experience to assist their busy team. Reporting to the Operations Manager you will provide an efficient Import service to all customers; project and maintain a positive image of the company within the marketplace and provide documentation input and checking service.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Processing shipment bookings for Deep Sea Shipments
- Monitoring shipments from receipt of pre-alert / booking to arrival at destination
- Customs Clearance Processing
- Securing receipt of customs duty and VAT amounts in advance of arrival
- Providing a high level of Customer Service
- Liaise with imports and container control teams on transport
- Resolve documentation and admin queries in a timely manner
Minimum Requirements:
- Min 6 months in Liner Agency or Deep Sea Imports
- Strong customer focus
- Proven ability to multi-task, work in a team and maintain files
- Excellent standard of verbal and written English
- Excellent telephone manner
- Strong IT skills in MS Office products with experience using databases
- Fluent English and full work authorisation to work within Ireland without restriction
