Our client, a leading Irish logistics company is seeking a dedicated and motivated Logistics & Warehouse Supervisor to join the team. As a Logistics & Warehouse Supervisor, you will oversee all warehouse operations to ensure services meet and exceed customer expectations, as a hands-on leader, motivating the warehouse team, leading by example, and fostering a positive team-building atmosphere.
Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Adherence to the company’s Health & Safety arrangements and proactively contribute to the maintenance of a safe working environment.
  • Understanding customer requirements and ensuring the delivery of first-class customer service.
  • Supervision, training, and direct assistance to warehouse operations, including loading/unloading, receiving, sorting, put away, picking, inventory control, and other value-added activities.
  • Assigning workloads and specific tasks within the Warehouse Team.
  • Ensuring the Warehouse Team’s adherence to the Daily/Weekly/Monthly ‘Task Lists’.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for all visitors to the warehouse.
  • Ensuring a culture of safety by enforcing safety standards and controls.
  • Monitoring security within the Warehouse and Yard.
  • Operating the company’s Warehouse Management System (PC & Handheld Scanner).
  • Operating client’s own IT systems.
  • Operating various MHE (Pallet Trucks, Forklift Trucks, etc.).
  • Joining the warehouse ‘on-call’ roster.
  • Providing holiday/absence cover when required.
  • Performing other tasks as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Leaving Cert
  • Forklift Training Certificate
  • Manual Handling Certificate
  • 3 years in a supervisory role in a warehouse environment (Essential)
  • Experience working for a freight/logistics service provider (Desirable)
