A leading global logistics company is now seeking to hire an experienced Management Accountant for its specialised division located in North County Dublin. Reporting to the General Manager, your key responsibilities will include;
- Manage month-end closing processes, including forecasts and financial consolidations in line with local GAAP. Act as the main contact for financial statement preparation for management and internal departments.
- Facilitate annual internal audits and ensure compliance with legal and group requirements. Liaise with auditors and banks.
- Oversee General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, payroll, and treasury management. Ensure timely payment of salaries and manage accounting entries per legal and group standards.
- Handle insurance and contract management, maintain stakeholder communication, and support GM and HR.
- Lead cost-saving initiatives, improve purchase management, optimize ERP processes, and enhance finance structures for efficiency.
- Manage corporate tax filings, VAT analysis, and related payments. Provide leadership for the finance team and develop staff through clear objectives.
Qualifications:
- Part-qualified or studying towards ACCA or CIMA.
- Minimum of 5 years in financial accounting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and taxation; IFRS knowledge is a plus.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and adaptable.
- Experience with SAGE accounting software is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English
- Ability to work freely and unrestricted from work permit or visa constraints.
