About the Role:
This role involves working in a fast-paced Ocean Import Department, supporting the Import Manager with day-to-day operations. The position includes handling various types of cargo from around the world, ensuring every day brings variety. You will be responsible for processing freight import shipments from start to finish while delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing all aspects of Ocean Import operations
- Completing Customs Clearances
- Providing quotations, booking jobs, and coordinating collections and deliveries
- Ensuring timely invoicing and job accounting
- Maintaining clear and effective communication with clients and team members
- Monitoring shipment status and resolving any issues that may arise
- Preparing and maintaining accurate documentation to comply with regulatory requirements
Candidate Requirements:
- 2-4 years’ experience in an Ocean Import role
- Knowledge of LCL, FCL, and RO-RO shipments
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service and organizational abilities
- Professional telephone manner
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow
