We are seeking an experienced and motivated Road Freight Operations Executive to support our European groupage services. This role involves coordinating shipments, handling key accounts, and ensuring excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage daily European import/export groupage shipments.
- Coordinate with overseas agents and hauliers for collections and deliveries.
- Manage customs documentation; ability to complete clearances in-house is a plus.
- Enter bookings and shipment details in Azyra system.
- Liaise with domestic hauliers and warehouse teams to ensure efficient freight processing.
- Keep customers and agents informed on shipment status.
- Handle admin tasks including invoicing, file management, and shipment costings.
Requirements:
- Previous freight forwarding/operations experience.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Familiarity with freight systems, EDI/API processes, and Microsoft Office.
- Detail-oriented with a customer-first mindset.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Flexible and KPI-focused.
- A second European language is an advantage
