Role: Sea Freight Forwarder
Location: Dublin 9
Terms: Permanent, Full-time, Mon – Friday  
Package: Negotiable salary (DOE) Healthcare, Pension etc.

We are seeking an organised and proactive Sea freight Coordinator. The ideal candidate will manage and oversee the end-to-end process of sea freight shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective logistics solutions for our clients. You will work closely with both internal teams and external partners to deliver seamless freight services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full lifecycle of sea freight shipments, from booking to delivery, ensuring that all timelines are adhered to.
  • Customer Liaison: Serve as the main point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries and providing status updates on shipments.
  • Prepare, review, and process all required documentation for sea freight shipments, including Bills of Lading, customs paperwork, and import/export declarations.
  • Liaise with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs agents to ensure smooth handling and transportation of goods.
  • Cost Control: Monitor and negotiate shipping rates, ensuring cost-efficient transportation while maintaining service quality.
  • Quickly address and resolve any issues that arise during the shipment process, such as delays, damages, or discrepancies in documentation.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in sea freight operations or a related logistics role.
  • Strong understanding of international shipping regulations, customs processes, and Incoterms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • High level of accuracy in managing documentation and shipment details.
