We are seeking an experienced Senior Transport Manager to lead and oversee transport operations in Limerick. This role involves managing a fleet, ensuring compliance with transport regulations, and optimizing logistics processes to enhance efficiency and service levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily transport operations, ensuring efficient route planning and cost-effective solutions.
- Manage and develop the transport team, including drivers and support staff.
- Ensure full compliance with all transport regulations, including RSA and HSE requirements.
- Maintain fleet performance, scheduling maintenance and addressing any operational issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance delivery performance and reduce costs.
- Work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure high service standards.
- Manage budgets, cost controls, and operational KPIs.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a senior transport or logistics management role.
- Strong knowledge of Irish and EU transport regulations.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to optimize fleet operations and improve efficiency.
- Experience in budget management and cost control.
- CPC qualification is an advantage
